Today marks 8 months since we signed up to adopt from South Korea. 8 months waiting for our first child, whoever they may be. The process has had its ups and downs, but mostly ups. The first 7 months were fairly easy...everything was so far off. But as it gets closer to knowing who our child is, the wait is getting pretty difficult. Mostly, because we don't know when the wait will be over. As each day passes though, we do feel more prepared and at ease.
Of course, we are anxious to see and learn about our child. But, we feel very relaxed and at peace and have faith that our child is waiting for us too...even if s/he doesn't know it!!

It won't be much longer before you learn about who your future son/daughter will be. I'll be here waiting for you to post that wonderful referral photo!

You have a great attitude about it. That thought often helped me through the wait, too. You don't just want a child, you want your child...and if that means waiting a couple extra weeks, well, your child is well worth the wait.
That being said....I have my fingers crossed for some good news soon!
