The Red Thread

At my shower, I tried to relay the ancient Chinese belief in the 'red thread of fate.' I was a bit emotional, so not sure how succesful I was in my explanation. Here is the original saying:

"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet,
regardless of time, place or circumstance.
The thread may stretch or tangle,
but it will never break."

This week, I came home and found a package on my porch. One of the ladies from my shower had sent me this:
Awww...don't I have great peeps?

I adore this book. I have to be careful when I read it to Seth because I always cry at the end of the story. Every time.

We love this book too and we have a special friend to thank for it arriving one special day on our porch as well.

My sister used that quote at my shower and also gave me the book...no matter how many times I read it, I can't get through it w/o crying.
