A fun tradition at the tower is to add your 'locks of love' to the fences around the lower observation deck. We brought three locks from home and locked our forever love for me, Dave, and Gabe on the fence.
There was also a Teddy Bear Museum at the tower, that we decided to check out. It was pretty cute, actually. It basically told the history of Korea through teddy bear scenes.
After all the fun activities at the Tower, we headed to Namsongal Hanok Village. The grounds were very nicely landscaped and it was fun to explore the traditional homes.
From there it was off to The War Memorial of Korea. The building and the grounds are stunning. Walking around the grounds there are many statues and plaques that give you a tangible sense of how many men and women lost their lives fighting for the freedom of South Korea.
We spent a lot of time at the War Memorial. I suggest all wives keep their husbands moving through the museum at a quicker pace. Next up was the toy district. Since it was Sunday and it was a national day of mourning for the former president Kim Dae-jung many places were closed or packing up to close. But, we found the Pororo the Penguin doll we were looking for!
By now it was time to head home, but we stumbled across this River Walk and had a nice stroll first.
Tomorrow we go back to the agency for their staff lunch and to spend more time with Gabe!

You guys have gotten to do so much! I'm sure you're very anxious to see your son again & bring him home! It's been so great to see all that you've been able to check out since you've been there.
Wow - you've got some great pictures!! I hope you have a wonderful Monday! :)
You guys are really making the most of your time! It looks like you've done a lot of great things!
Great photos of Seoul! This post has included a bunch of things that we did not get to do on our short trip to Korea in June (the war memorial, Seoul tower, toy district) so it's great to see them and inspires us to check them out on our next trip. Didn't know about the locks of love - that is so neat! I do remember that river walk which was such a nice respite from the craziness of the city above.
You guys look so happy! I bet you are so anxious to see Gabe again tomorrow. He must be on your mind constantly as you walk around the city. He will be in your arms forever so, so soon now. Wow.
Wow...you are really packing it in...good for you!! Looks like you are enjoying yourselves and taking it all in. Wonderful!
seeing your pictures makes me want to go back! we really loved the river walk. so pretty and peaceful somehow, even though you are in the middle of Seoul!
can't wait until Gabe is in your arms forever!

Isn't the Seoul Tower amazing? I wish we had gone up - and I totally was lost on the whole locks of love thing - I was too tired to figure out what it was all about. It is so nice to see all of our pictures!
Oh, how my heart is longing to be there!! SO happy we'll be there soon...hopefully. :-)
Cute lock idea.....I may need to dig some up for us to add!
