Whatcha Reading? (giveaway)

Gabe has turned into quite the little 'reader.' He's loved books since the minute he came home. Recently, he's started to grab a book or two, his boo-ba, a stuffed animal or two, hop on the chair in his room and read to his friends. Though we have an extensive book collection...I haven't bought a new book since he came home. I feel like we both need some new children's reads. I'd love to hear from you what your favorite books are. In about a week, I'll draw a name and send one lucky winner one of our favorite books...For Just One Day by Laura Leuck and Marc Boutavant. The story is great and the illustrations are amazing.

So, please just leave a comment of your favorite children's book and good luck!

Miles and I LOVE LOVE LOVE "All the World" by Liz Garton Scanton. I could give you about twenty other titles because I'm a total children's book addict, but that is definitely my favorite. :)

I've never heard of this book/author and that's saying something! I'd love to win. Right now favorites for my kids (1 each) are "Monster Trucks, Monster Trucks" by Marc Todd, "Sing Along Song" by JoAnn Early Mackem, and "If I Were a Lion" by Sarah Weeks.

We love books!

One of our favorite series is the "David" series by David Shannon. Our favorite book for the pre-K crowd in the series is "Oops!" It's short, fun, and teaches them all the words for when they make messes!

Oh man, this is an awesome giveaway!! I'm like Tiffany - a total children's book addict. Here are a few that we're reading a lot lately "Little Hoot" by Amy Krouse Rosenthal; "Dog Loves Books" by Louise Yates (I think I love that one more than X); and "Not a Box" by Antoinette Poris.

Seth has been calling all his books lately "Bee Bim Bop," so that actual book is on of our favorites.

We also love "That's Not My Train" and "Ten Little Fingers."

I have to pick 1 book?!? I love Sandra Boyton's books - especially "But Not the Hippopotamus" which always makes me laugh (more than the kids, really).
"Alpha-Oops" is awesome (this was ideal around 3 years old).
I could list more but I'll start with those 2. If you want more suggestions just say the word - no giveaway needed. I love talking about Children's books!

I love watching my kids flip through books on their own! Parker really enjoys the Byron Barton Books ("My Car", "Trains", "Planes", "Boats", and "Trucks" are the ones we have). We also enjoy Amy Krouse Rosenthal books (we just checked out "Duck! Rabbit" and "Yes Day!" from the library and they are a lot of fun!). I could go on & on... we love children's books!

Click Clack Moo is great! Duck for President is also really funny. He's probably at the age that he'll like the "If you give a _ a _ books" such as "If you give a pig a pancake." You are also at the point that Dr Seuss will become a constant part of your life. I'd try Hop on Pop or Oh the Thinks You Can Think,

I just can't enough of children's books! I'm going to have to come back to everyone's comments and look these up on Amazon! :)
Right now Noah is loving and I must read to him nightly...
"I Stink" ( and we just got in the mail yesterday his friend "I'm Dirty"
"Twinkle Twinkly Little Star..and other favorite nursery rhymes"....there are some wacky rhymes in there, but Noah loves it.
"A Night Night Prayer"...such a cute book. Noah waves goodnight at each page to the trees, the puppy, etc.

Awesome giveaway! That looks like a great book--we haven't read that one. One of Joel's favorite books is Choo-Choo Clickety Clack by Margaret Mayo. We don't own it, but check it out frequently!

Oh, great idea!

Let's see... our current rotation includes:

*Llama Llama Misses Mama by Anna Dewdney

*A Lot of Otters by Barbara Helen Berger

*I Stink by the McMullens

It's funny, S has been on a big "picture book" kick where he wants to look at the DK books all the time too.

I probably was just supposed to mention one, but we always read three at bedtime. :-/

Our favorite children's book is "I Love You So..." by Marianne Richmond. I can pretty much read every page word for word without actually looking at the words. And Devin will finish each phrase as I read...too cute!

Little D's fave right now (and has been for a while) the "I Stink!" book. There are two others by the same authors that we have at home from the library right now.

We also love the Eric Carle books. Great illustrations.

I also love "Llama, Llama Red Pajama." It gets D a little too revved up at bedtime (he loves to yell the "MAMA! MAMA!" parts) so I think I need to move that book downstairs for now. ;-)

GREAT giveaway idea.
We also go to the library at least twice/week.
