To Korea with Love

One of my bloggy friends, Sue, should get her call to travel to Korea any day now to bring home her son, Cohen. She and her husband have graciously offered to bring a care package for Gabe. My mom and I went shopping and this is what we are sending:

(3 onesies, shorts, a zip-up sweatshirt, 6 pairs of socks, Kiehl's lotion and a note for his foster mother, 2 disposable cameras)

(a hooded terrycloth jumper, photo album with our pics, a soft blanket)

Here's how we chose what we did. My mom and I loved the "Cool Dude" onesie because Gabe looks like a 'cool dude' and we know he looks good in yellow. Papa Harry does not want little Gabe to get cold, so the sweatshirt is from him. But it is also known to get hot late in the summer, so I thought the terry cloth jumper would keep Gabe cool in July/August. My mother-in-law also included a soft stuffed animal. It makes the package that more special to have family and friends contributing. I hope Gabe and his foster mother enjoy the items we sent.

I think that all looks great. LOVE the onesie with the frogs on it and the terry cloth jumper looks so comfy. Photo book is a great idea too. I'm sure they'll love it all! How fun to shop for your little one!

You picked out some great things to send to Gabe and his foster family! I am sure they will all love it! Wasn't it so much fun to go shopping for YOUR baby? Before we got our referral, I did a little shopping for THE baby, but once I actually knew who MY baby was, it was so much more fun to shop for MY baby! I hope this is the first of many fun shopping trips!

It is so exciting that you are sending a gifts with your friends. That worked out soo great. Now that our little girl is home..we are really happy we sent some things to korea also. The foster family did amazing things as Im sure they are also for your little dude! We ended up getting over 400 pictures back and many many more things that will be forever cherished. The families really do love our babies. It is truely amazing.

What fun! We sent the same photo album to Thomas when we were waiting to travel to Gautemala. Remember to write your names on those cameras so they come back to you. Gabe will love it all!
