Pororo/Poong-Poongie
First let's start with the cute, Pororo the Penguin. He lives in Antarctica and has all sorts of adventures with his friends. Pororo and his group are pictured below: Poby the polar bear, Loopy the beaver, Harry the hummingbird, Crong the dinosaur, Petty the penguin, and Eddy the fox. This a very popular cartoon shown all over the world.

Now for the gross, Poong-Poongie. He is an orange stuffed animal that has a unique, um, 'talent.' When you squeeze him, he lets out a fart noise! Ewwwwww! I guess this doll is everywhere in South Korea and babies and toddlers love it.

Personally, I adore Pororo. I love the characters and the little lessons.
They are CUTE! And yes, the farting is gross!
I'm planning on picking up some children's dvd's in Korea.....I'll have to look for these!
we love poong poongie and pororo! cohen will have pororo on his birthday cake! you can watch pororo on you tube, which we do with cohen. it is a really cute little cartoon.
i'm sure Gabe will love these guys too!
Pororo was one of the options to watch on the plane coming home. It calmed Xavier for quite a while. Keep that in mind when you are bringing Gabe home.
While in Seoul a couple of years ago on a business trip, I accompanied our suppliers to a licensed character trade show at a convention center. Everywhere I looked, there were costumed characters milling about. I am disturbed by any kind of mascot costume (except for Bucky) so I was totally creeped out and I couldn't wait to get out of there. Who knows, that could have been my chance to meet Pororo and his friends. Um, no thanks!

Oh, I [heart] Pororo!! I saw him everywhere over there. I was thinking about buying some DVDs, but then got side-tracked... thanks for reminding me to hunt them down stateside!
