27 Up, 27 Down

Since my mailbox is still empty, at least I can get excited about my White Sox. Mark Buehrle pitched a perfect game (no hits, no walks) today! And my dad was lucky enough to see it live. For you non-sports people, let me tell you that that is a VERY rare occurrence and quite a feat. This was the 18th perfect game in all of baseball's history.
Click HERE to see a clip of the last outs of the game, including Dewayne Wise's amazing catch.

Thanks Buehrle...you made my week when USCIS couldn't!

This was very impressive. Even a Cubs fan can celebrate this badge of honor for Chicago.

So glad your Sox could make you smile! And while we were there, honestly I saw little of the game because Hannah was scared of the large tatooed man cheering behind us so we walked around most of the game!!! But we are thankful for such an amazing experience for her first game.

I watched a lot of coverage and highlights about this game on espn last night and it looked so exciting - you could really sense the energy level in the ballpark. How cool that Uncle Phil was in attendance - I am just thrilled that he was able to experience something so huge from the team he loves!
