Second Meeting
We had our second meeting with Gabe today and it was wonderful to see him again! He let us hold him right away, then cried for his foster mother. We got to play with him longer today and even provoked a few smiles, he seems to be feeling better too. He is VERY attached to his foster mother and would cry very hard when she left the room. We are bracing ourselves for a exceptionally hard day tomorrow and flight home. Speaking of, when we called the airline they said it's a totally full flight. We hope if we get to the airport early they can maybe make some changes for us. If not, let's hope the person in the window seat is a 60 year old Korean woman that resembles Gabe's foster mother.

As for the flight - you will make it through, even if it is rough. We had so much help when Paul was upset. But, it wouldn't hurt for that 3rd seat to be filled by an extra special helper! =)

Our flight was full too. We weren't able to get a bulk head seat and we were placed by the window. Everyone on the plane was really nice and understanding though and they let us move. I'm sure you'll get to switch seats. I'm praying it goes quickly and smoothly for you all.

knowing that Gabe is attached so well to foster mother is such a good thing - even though it might be hard the first few days. it means he *can* attach and he will.
thinking of you and praying for you as your travel home. we had great people on the plane, too. i'm sure you will find some nice people that are understanding and helpful.

Just caught up on all your posts. Looks like you've been making the most of your visit to "SoKo." The picture of your family of three is beautiful. Even though Gabe may have a rough time tomorrow, remember that if he is that attached to his FM, he will attach that deeply to his Mommy:). I'll say a prayer for you all!
I will be praying for a good flight for you - maybe they were wrong about it being full.
No matter what - it will be memorable for you all and you will have fun stories to tell him when he gets older.

Praying the flight goes well-remember it's only just a small part of your life and you can make it through anything (even if it seems to go on forever, I remember!!)

Joanna, I want to tell you how much I've been enjoying your blog. I wake up in the morning and log on to my computer and check it again before I go to bed. I'm obsessed! Your Mom says I'm really "into it". You have had a very interesting trip. You're a very entertaining writer.
I'm sure your departure and flight will be fine. Everything will work out in the end, it always does. Gabe is so, so cute! Those cheeks! They are kissin' cheeks that's for sure! Have a safe and happy trip home.

I hope your flight home goes much MUCH much better than you expect. It is the part we have the most concern about also. Right now...we are in a window and center seat on the way home...with someone on the outside of us. I hope they or someone else will trade...or we'll probaby drive them crazy with all the up/down & climbing over.

I'll be wishing you well on the flight home. Most people are very accommodating to the needs of families traveling together. I've seen a lot of kindness and understanding on board my flights, especially with new babies heading home. You can do it!!
