Gabe really enjoyed his 2 days of Halloween. On Friday, we went back to visit all his friends in Grammie's first grade class. We weren't sure how he'd like the chicken that makes an appearance each year, but he loved her. I think he thought it was like a big puppet he could hug.
Meeting the chicken:

And of course he loved being taken around with Grammie:

On Saturday we trick or treated on our block and watched all the kids pour in to our house. Gabe was thrilled to see all these big kids come to HIS house.
Before we went out:

Looks like a GREAT first Halloween. Love your costume, Gabe. Very cute!! Don't eat TOO much candy all at once, OK?! Save some for your mommy & daddy too.
It looks so fun! Young Min is soooo cute penguin!
Awwww, a very sweet little penguin :)
Gabe, you are the cutest little penguin!!!!
Gabe is an adorable penguin... but my favorite picture is of him digging into the candy. :)
happy Halloween! very cute!!
Love the penguin costume! And Gabe with the chicken is pretty funny.
I love Gabe's costume, and I am really impressed he did so well with the chicken. Most kids would have been crying immediately.
Boy, nothing says "Happy Halloween" quite like a ginormous yellow fluffy chicken...right? Looks like Gabe took it in stride - excellent. Cutest penguin ever!!!! I really like the photo of Gabe with his loot.
Gabe is such a cutie! Ok, I would have been terrified of that chicken at his age I think. He's just all sorts of comfortable though! I love his costume too. My favorite is him digging in the candy...hilarious!
More candy!!!
I'm actually a little scared of that chicken right now... Gabe is pretty brave!
What an adorable little penguin! Looks like he had a great time...
Wait a minute - is that the back cover of "The Secret Language of Birthdays" in the 6th photo? I would recognize that book anywhere! I suppose Gabe was doing a little bit of research in the days leading up to his first birthday. Brilliant and wise indeed.
