The second night at his grandparent's home was a little harder for him. Partying 2 nights in a row is tough on an adult, much less a toddler. He rallied though and had fun with his cousins, aunts and uncles and grandparents.
Last year at this time, we didn't even have his referral and this year he was sitting at the table. What a difference a year makes!
Here are some pics from the first night:
Sitting at the table waiting for dinner with his cousin
Fun with the beloved dog
It's hard to see, but he's kissing her
Gabe LOVES dogs and any soft pets. He's not afraid of them AT ALL and goes right for them to hug and pet them. He's quite gentle with them and just lights up when he sees a dog. Gabe had a dog in his foster home, Kodong. I am so thankful that he did, since I think that helps him appreciate and love animals.

That is SOME kiss for that doggie, Gabe! :)
Awe...sooooo sweet to see him kissing that cute dog. D is a dog lover too (or "oof-oof" as he calls them). The bigger/fluffier the better. He even ran right up to a huge (drooling) Newfoundland at the park once...that thing was like a huge bear...no fear!
You said it: What a difference a year makes! So wonderful to have him there for all these special family traditions. Enjoy!
Oh, Gabe! You melt my heart. I just love that picture of him kissing the dog.
Isn't it amazing to think back to a year ago! So much has changed!!!
Love Gabe giving the doggie kisses! How sweet!
Gabe is so cute with that dog! I'm glad he is feeling better and back to his charming self. Isn't it neat to look back a year ago and think about how different things were? So glad that Gabe is home with you!
I love the pic of him kissing his dog! That is so cute!
Awww - the dog kiss picture is so sweet. I love a kid that loves animals! I think it shows great character - hmmm...but I may be biased because of my love for animals, too!
Awww! Love how Gabe is just burying his face right in that pup's fur to give him a smooch!
And I agree, it is neat to think back to last year and what we were doing without our boys. Isn't it so fun to celebrate with family finally as a Mom?!! I still can't believe it sometimes! :)
So nice that Gabe is here for Seder and Passover this year! And I think you need to buy your son a big fluffy dog!!
I love that Gabe enjoys dogs so much, and is so comfortable around them!! We have 2 dogs and I'm prayer our little guy does well with them when he comes home from Korea in a few weeks!!!
You know I love the photos of him with the dog, right?! Do I even need to tell you how much I love them?!
I was just thinking back on our "this time last year" too... crazy what a difference a year makes!
