So, it makes sense that living on this block we enjoy hanging out with fellow moms and toddlers that live here too. Gabe has made friends and has learned (mostly good) things from the slightly older toddlers. Of course mom doesn't mind chatting and hanging out with her friends too. We usually have picnic lunches on nice days. One of the best parts of having friends on your block is hanging out after nap time, otherwise known as the 'witching' hour. We all assemble across the street until dinner while the kids play and we all greet the other neighbors as they walk home from the train. Good times.
One of the moms is pregnant with twins. Yay, more playmates!

Love the title of this post! It's so great that you have such great neighbors! Oh, and after my few weeks into motherhood I have a HUGE amount of respect to those parents in this world with multiples! He's hoping that they are terrific sleepers...for your neighbors sake! ;)
The second to last picture is AWESOME!
The witching hour sound really fun!
Cute pics and I love Gabe's shoes! Do you mind sharing what brand they are?
So cute babies!
I think it's very good that he can make many friends.
He has still same face! Missing him so much~~
i can see those kids wreaking some havoc in a few years! there is nothing like having friends so close! so much fun!
this sounds crazily similar to our block - nearly every afternoon from about 3:30 on, there's about a dozen kids and their corresponding moms outside. it's such a great way to pass the time and for the kids to play and socialize! if we ever move, i'm moving to your block so we can guarantee the same thing... :)
How lucky to have so many little kids in your neighborhood....and the bonus that you really like the moms! Unfortunately in our townhome complex there aren't too many little ones around. I'd love to have a group of mom's and kids to hang with every day.
And love the photo of Gabe and his friend peeking thru the railing. :)
I wish we had a neighborhood like that, how FUN!!!!!!!! I love the picture of the boys putting their 'kissy' faces between the railings!
How fun is that? We don't quite have the same connection with our neighbors so I'm kinda jealous ... I'm hoping that having kids will make it easier to bond with our neighbors. You seriously have a cool block. Love the witching hour!
The witching hour describes it perectly!!! He is so handsome!
I LOVE those last two photos! Gabe is so stinkin' cute. What an awesome block you live on! Sounds perfect for you...JoJo chattin' it up while Gabe hangs with his homies :)
What great neighbors you have!! I think it's wonderful that you can have so much fun during the "witching" hour!
That's so great for both of you! I love Gabe looking through the railing. Sounds like a great neighborhood!
"Would you be mine...could you be mine...Won't you be my neighbor?!?!" It's great to have neighbors that you can rely on and enjoy! And there's something about seeing a group of kids having fun together that makes me really happy - I bet they make every train passer-byer smile.
Love the title of this post:-) How wonderful that you have great neighbors!
I'm jealous of your neighborship too! It is so important...Happy to see Gabe hanging with his buddies.
So nice!! looks like a great neighborhood. Seth is a cutie!
LOVE great neighbors & friends.
LOVE the shots of the toddlers doing the "same" things...banging on the tree, peeking through the railing, etc... LOVE when little ones mimic each other.
oh man, the witching hour is the longest part of my day - how lucky for you to have so many wonderful distractions! in a few years all your kids are going to form a little street gang on those mini, motorized trackers :)
The title totally cracked me up! Gabers looks like he enjoys playing with his neighbors. I am so jealous of your neighborhood! I want one like that!!!
How fun! I wish we had the same relationship with our neighbors! It's so great for all of you!
Awesome! I SO wish we had this kind of neighborhood! (Maybe in Michigan we will?!?) Si is the one of the only kiddos on our block...but he's super spoiled by everyone, so I guess he's ok with it. ;-)
Wow - I really am behind!!!
I love all these fun photos. Man, is Gabe cool! :-)
We have great neighbors like this now and I am so incredibly sad to be losing them when we move... it's one of my biggest fears, that we'll never have it as good.
