Twins?

Many times when we are out with another family with at Korean babe, we often get the comment, "are they twins?" I have to admit that this one bugs me a bit. There are two moms and two kids...no they are not twins just because they 'look' alike. We are not their babysitters. I think people's minds can't always process the group, so they just spit out what they think makes sense.
Yesterday, Gabe and I met up with Joel and Christine to enjoy the Morton Arboretum. It's a great place for kids and adults. They have lovely grounds and it's easy to get around. But since G&J were coincidentally wearing the same shirt and are only 3 days apart...we knew the twin comment over/under would be high. In the end we only got 3 comments, but we took it in all in stride. I know you savvy LBOS readers will be able to tell them apart though.

They are adorable in their matching shirts! Looks like a fun time.

I agree about the twin comment. It's ridiculous.

Adorable! But honestly, the only thing that looks alike on these boys is their outfits and their hair. People are so silly.

The twin comment is ridiculous but I love the twin shirts. It's my favorite Tea. :)

You'll get a kick out of this then. Once at Dairy Queen a young teenage African American boy asked me if Isaac and Matthew were twins!!!!!!!!!

I had to laugh! Talk about colorblind! I actually got quite a kick out of that one.

Clearly NOT twins...but CLEARLY both very cute and good friends. YAY for a fun playdate...in matchy-matchy shirts. I love that arboretum -- haven't been there in years.

I'm still voting for a mega blog-friend get-together this summer or fall and we get ALL the boys to wear matching shirts. That would be quite a set of multiples (octogons or more?!). :-)

Ha! Parker is wearing the same exact outfit today... I say we get an even larger group together (all wearing the same kimchi delivery shirt) and see what that does to people!! Those boys may not be twins but they are a very cute pair. :)

Same happens to Jack and his friend Zane. I think we once got 6 comments while eating lunch at McDonalds. CRAZY! Honestly your two look more alike than our kiddos did. I SOOOO hear you on the twin thing. Yet.. I have twin nephews who look nothing alike.

Hmm...it's so hard not to be rude to extremely ignorant people who ask really dumb questions.
Are they twins? You could say "Nope, I think they're clones, though." Or "Yes! And we are sister-wives!" That will shut them up. Me, a smartass? Never.

So cute! Definitely NOT identical but the matching shirts are a sure fire way for people to ask that. :) They look ADORABLE! :)

The "twin" comment is annoying!!!I love the picture of the boys in the water - the boys are so cute in their matching outfits:-)

They are too handsome, love the shifts. Comments can be so annoying...I get all the time, is you husband Asian??

I can't stand that comment! But I could stand a little bit more of the boys please... :-)

If it makes you feel any better, my friend has two domestically adopted children. They are close in age (long story) but one is blue-eyed and fair-haired and the other is half african-american, so brown curly hair and chocolate eyes. She and her partner get asked that on almost every outing... crazy!

Too cute for words!

OK, that twins comment is dumb. They DO NOT LOOK LIKE BROTHERS!!! That is funny that they were wearing the same shirt, though. Looks like a fun day, comments from the peanut gallery aside.
