Plants and Pals
Last week, a few of us headed to the Garfield Park Conservatory. This place is such a gem in Chicago and even better, they have free parking and free admission. Lots of Chicagoans first checked it out when Chihuly had an exhibit there in 2002 and some of the works are still installed. The place is huge with lots of greenhouses and an outdoor area. It wasn't that crowded and the boys were able to run around. They had a blast touching everything, smelling flowers, seeing fish, rocks, sculptures and even playing in the indoor playground. It really was such a great day and I'm sure in the winter months we'll be back for some much needed humidity and greenery.

That is so awesome to have someplace like that in the city. Looks like the boys had a blast. I will have to keep that place in mind for a weekend trip!

We used to live really close to there, pre-kids. It's a wonderful resource in the city! And they have a great little market to shop at :)

Shhh!!! you're giving away one of the best kept Chicago secrets! Well, you're right, it should totally be shared! I love that place and didn't know about it until the Chihuly exhibit. It looked like a perfect outting to let everyone run run run.

I just read Sue's account and saw the photos so I jumped right over here. I love these three boys running around and playing. What a handful they are - in a good way. You all are truly blessed to live near each other and do fun things together.

Awe...that looks SO fun. I love the "snack shot." Those boys are all adorable...and ALL THREE of them together? I'm in cute-boy overload right now. Love it! What a great spot for you to share with friends...especially this winter. We have a conservatory here by us too, which we love.
